MARCEL DUCHAMP AND THE 'READYMADE'
The Mona Lisa was famous because it was painted by the famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci. The Mona Lisa got very famous for her smile. Mona Lisa got stolen by Vincenzo Peruggia along with two accomplices. Marcel Duchamp draw a moustache on Mona Lisa.
The reason Marcel Duchamp drew a moustache on Mona Lisa it because Duchamp said "The Mona Lisa become a man-not a woman disguised as a man , but a real man" . I think he does this because its funny and at the same time I feel confused.
L.H.O.O.Q is a work of art by Marcel Duchamp. first conceived in 1919 , the work is one of what Duchamp referred to as readymades or more specifically a recurred ready-made.
The readymade means the word ready made means Duchamp found objects and positioned them min different place to move new art.
"Readymades" were found objects which Duchamp chose and presented as art. The idea would question the very idea of art. People said Duchamp's work was fake and he was copying other people.
